This is the road leading from Hotton to Soy, Belgium, facing east toward Soy. The "Line of departure" for the attack on La Roumiere is on the right, the road to Melines and Ny is about where the car is. Melines would be to the right, toward Hill La Roumiere and Ny would be to the left. On the northwest corner of this same intersection is the monument erected in honor of the 517th PIR.
