This is a forest with logging road located immediately to the west of Wy, Belgium. I know that men of the 290th were entrenched here and we saw remnants of their foxholes in the forest. To the left would be Wy and La Roumiere would be to the right in the photo. The men of F Company (my Dad's unit) were split up. Some of them were involved in attacking German positions in the town of Wy and others were involved in the attacks on La Roumiere. According to other 75th veterans, my Dad was involved in the attacks on La Roumiere. Photo taken in May of 2001. From the collection of J. Puckett
